Sunburns: How to Deal

Protect Your Baby

While protection from sunburn is important for people of all ages, it is especially so for little ones as they are extremely vulnerable to the sun’s harmful rays. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends keeping babies under 6 months old out of direct sunlight by using stroller canopies, shade and umbrellas. Babies should also be dressed in UV-protective, cool clothing and hats. Remember to also apply sunscreen, and make sure your child’s eyes are protected with sunglasses.
