Using Blood Pressure Meds to Treat Kidney Disease

Kidney disease patients have a higher risk of death and kidney failure than others. It was thought that adding high blood pressure or diabetes to the mix boosted these risks. But kidney disease alone may be enough.

Because high blood pressure can damage the kidneys, many patients with chronic kidney disease take drugs to lower their blood pressure. These patients might find it more beneficial to take their drugs before bed.
