Bonine Overview
Bonine is an over the counter medication used to treat motion sickness, and dizziness (vertigo). Bonine belongs to a group of drugs called antiemetics and Histamine H1 Antagonists, which blocks the trigger zone in the brain that is responsible for nausea and vomiting. It also calms the nerves in the middle ear that are responsible for balance and stability, which helps treat symptoms of dizziness.
This medication comes in a tablet and a chewable tablet form, and is often taken once daily with or without food.
Common side effects of Bonine include headache, dry mouth, and blurred vision. Bonine can also cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how Bonine affects you.
