(RxWiki News) Who doesn't experience that furrow in the brow line gained by reading too much and worrying about children making their own mistakes? Well, worry and furrow away.
The FDA has approved the Merz Aesthetics temporary furrow mender drug incobotulinumtoxinA (Xeomin) for use in adults who have earned all their worrying lines.
"Ask your plastic surgeon about Xeomin to take the worry away."
Derek H. Jones, M.D., an investigator for the Xeomin U.S. study, Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California in Los Angeles, Calif., and Director of Skin Care and Laser Physicians in Beverly Hills, California reports that Xeomin is a promising option for physicians and patients with the encouraging responses received in Phase III clinical trials.
Two pivotal U.S. clinical trials led to this FDA approval. These studies included 547 healthy adults who experienced improved appearance 30 days after the first injection of Xeomin. It is the only FDA approved botulinum drug that doesn't require refrigeration to reconstitute.
Xeomin is also approved for the temporary improvement of frown lines in 14 European countries under the brand name Bocoutu.
