(RxWiki News) If you saw the movie “The Green Mile” – you know the man who played the gentle giant. Michael Clarke Duncan has died following complications from a heart attack he had two months ago. He was 54.
Duncan’s fiancée, the Rev. Omarosa Manigault, says he died in the hospital where he was being treated.
"The Oscar-nominated actor suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered,” she said in a statement.
"Know the signs of a heart attack."
The 6’5” actor who weighed 300 pounds played in a number of hits, including “Planet of the Apes,” “Kung Fu Panda,” and “Armageddon.”
He will best be remembered, though, for his Academy Award nominated role in the 1999 film – "The Green Mile,” which starred Tom Hanks as a guard in a 1930s prison.
