Dipentum is a prescription medication used to treat ulcerative colitis.  Dipentum belongs to a group of drugs called anti-inflammatory agents.  These work by reducing bowel inflammation, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and stomach pain.

This medication comes in a capsule (by mouth) form and is usually taken 2 times a day with food to prevent stomach upset.

Common side effects of Dipentum include diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, and rash.

Dipentum is a prescription medication used to treat ulcerative colitis in people who cannot take the medication sulfasalazine.  Ulcerative colitis is a condition that causes swelling and sores in the lining of the colon (large intestine) and rectum.
