Vuity

Vuity is a prescription medication used to treat presbyopia (age-related blurry vision). Vuity belongs to a group of drugs called cholinergic muscarinic receptor agonists. To focus on close objects, the eye’s lens must change shape, yet it becomes less flexible as people age, making this process difficult. Vuity works by temporarily utilizing the eye's natural ability to reduce its pupil size. This expands the depth of field or the depth of focus, and that allows the eye to focus at different ranges naturally.

Vuity comes as an eye drop to be given into each eye once daily. Vuity usually begins to work within 15 minutes and can continue to work for up to 6 hours.

Common side effects include eye redness and headache.
