Oxistat is a prescription medication used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, jock itch, and athlete's foot. Oxistat belongs to a group of drugs called imidazole derivative antifungals. These work by killing the fungi that cause infections on the skin. 

This medication comes as a topical cream or lotion and is usually applied to the skin 1 to 2 times a day. 

Common side effects of Oxistat include itching, burning, and irritation of the skin.
