Retired athlete Jackie Joyner-Kersee, one of the all-time greatest Olympic athletes in the women's heptathlon, was diagnosed with asthma while at UCLA. With the help of her coaches, she got her asthma under control. Today, Joyner-Kersee is an advocate for the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation.
