Montel Williams, American television personality, radio talk show host, and actor, was diagnosed with MS in 1999 at the age of 43. When finding out about the diagnosis, Montel became discouraged but has since risen to become a public figure for MS awareness. In 2000, Montel Williams formed a foundation to further the scientific study of MS.
