5 Things to Know About SIDS
According to KidsHealth, a majority of SIDS deaths occur before the baby is 6 months old — generally between 2 to 4 months old. Black and Native American children are two to three times more likely to die from SIDS than white babies, and boys are slightly more commonly victims than girls, according to First Candle. More SIDS deaths occur during cold weather than any other time of year.
