5: Avocados Contain Protein

One avocado contains about 3 grams of protein which, along with bananas, makes it one of the only fruits containing a fairly high amount of protein. Protein builds, maintains and replaces the tissues in your body. In fact, your muscles, organs and immune system are made up mostly of protein. During digestion, protein is broken down into parts called amino acids. Your body needs a number of amino acids in large enough amounts to maintain good health. Avocados don't contain every single amino acid required in the body's protein-building process, but they do have many of them.
