Aerobic exercises like walking, jogging, stretching, weight lifting and many other activities can provide substantial temporary relief for patients with RLS. Getting active and using your muscles during the day may reduce restlessness at night. But be careful — too much exercise right before bed could keep energized and have the opposite effect.
