Bad Habits to Drop Before You Turn 30

Stop Blowing Smoke

Even if you have been smoking since you turned 18, quitting smoking at 30 can reduce your chance of dying from a smoke-related disease by 90 percent, according to The Partnership by a Tobacco-Free Maine. Once you quit smoking, your heart rate and blood pressure immediately began to return to normal. Your risk of heart disease, heart attack and stroke is also greatly reduced after you quit. Putting down those cigarettes can benefit your finances, too. According to the American Lung Association, smokers can save between $1,380 and $2,540 each year (depending on where they live) by quitting a pack-a-day habit. Heavier smokers can save even more. If that doesn’t inspire you to give up smoking, remember that quitting can also make you look younger and feel better. Any reason is a good reason to quit.
