Geraldine Ferraro was an American attorney and Democratic Party politician who inspired millions of women and men alike. Ferraro was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 1998 and succumbed to the disease in 2011. But before her passing, Ferraro was an avid advocate for multiple myeloma research.
