5. Prostate Cancer

Around 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime, making this cancer one of the most common cancers in men. While prostate cancer usually is not fatal, it is so common that it causes a fair portion of total cancer deaths. In 2013, there were an estimated 238,590 new cases of prostate cancer and 29,720 deaths.
