6. Leukemia

Leukemia is a blood cancer that can be either chronic (slow growing) or acute (fast). Being a blood cancer, leukemia can spread throughout the body to other organs like the brain. There were an estimated 48,610 new cases of leukemia and almost 24,000 leukemia-related deaths in 2013, making this cancer the sixth deadliest cancer in America.
