Eliminate the Pain of Raking Leaves
It’s important to remember that you should be able to carry all of your lawn and leaf bags comfortably. Don’t overfill them, especially if you’re clearing wet leaves! Pick up the bags by bending at the knees, and avoid twisting to throw bags over your shoulder or off to the side. If bags do become too heavy to lift, try dragging the bags or using a wheelbarrow to move them long distances. If you're using a tarp and dragging leaves to the curb, don't overload it. If possible, have someone grab an opposite end to help you. And don’t be a weekend warrior: pace yourself and tackle leaves in several sections.
