Famous People with Arthritis
David Prowse, famous for playing Darth Vader in Star Wars, has battled osteoarthritis (OA) since he was 13. After a series of misdiagnoses, Prowse discovered that he had early onset OA. His doctors suggested swimming to ease his OA, yet Prowse settled on weight lifting, eventually winning the British heavyweight championship 3 years in a row.
