Forgetting Forgetfulness: Methods That May Boost Your Memory
Participate in mentally stimulating activities. Keep your brain in shape by doing crossword puzzles or playing a new musical instrument, chess or bridge. Read challenging material, learn a new hobby or skill or even take an alternative route while driving — all of these stimulating activities may help prevent memory loss. Challenging your brain with mental exercise is believed to stimulate the processes that help maintain brain cells. The key is breaking your usual routine to challenge your brain.
