Germ Hot Spots in Schools

Hands

One of the germiest places in school is children’s hands. Washing with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds gets rid of the germs, but when is the best time for kids to wash? Students should wash their hands whenever they appear dirty. Hands also need a good wash before eating or touching food, after using the bathroom, after sneezing or coughing, after PE or recess outside and after touching a classroom pet.
