Going Gluten-Free
Sometimes, patients with celiac disease can remove all traces of gluten from their diets and still find themselves battling symptoms. When first beginning a gluten-free diet, many people don’t realize that gluten is in more than food. Gluten is found in many lip balms and lip glosses, which can be accidentally ingested. It’s also found in some medications and vitamins. By being aware of these possible sources, you can better avoid any possible run-ins with gluten.
