Practice Small, Incremental and Purposeful Change

Recognizing a goal is one thing, but working to accomplish said goal is another. People with depression are more likely to envision an ambiguous goal, which makes it much harder to actualize. Breaking a long-term goal into specific milestones helps to maintain motivation, provides incremental feelings of accomplishment and helps to visualize progress, which can boost happiness and self-esteem.
