Health Benefits of Friendship
A study of almost 3,000 breast cancer patients discovered that women without close friends were four times more likely to die as women with the most friends. This study also found that the proximity of friends didn’t matter. Simply having friends, wherever they were, was linked with survival, while having a spouse did not appear affect longevity.
