Bladder Control

Loss of bladder control is common in older adults, according to the Mayo Clinic. Conditions like diabetes, enlarged prostate and menopause may all contribute to incontinence. Going to the bathroom regularly and on a schedule, keeping a healthy weight, not smoking and doing kegel exercises may help to control the bladder.
