Healthy Habits You Should Establish in Your 20s

Travel Safe Abroad

While backpacking through Europe may be a right of passage in your 20s, it is important to stay prepared when travelling abroad. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), researching a travel destination and visiting a doctor before travel may reduce the risk for any travel issues. Packing smart, planning ahead for illnesses and paying attention to any health changes while travelling can also make for a safe and healthy time abroad. According to USA.gov, the US state department issues regular travel warnings to recommend postponing travel to a country if there is widespread illness, widespread civil unrest, or generally dangerous conditions. Some countries may require foreign visitors to get vaccinated before entering their country. Before you travel, check the CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO)’s websites, which can provide you recommendations for vaccinations and other travel health precautions for your trip abroad.
