How Makeup Can Affect Your Health
According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), acne is the most common skin condition in the US. Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that is characterized by blackheads, pimples and cysts. While oily skin and clogged pores are usually the culprit, makeup can further clog pores and lead to breakouts. The AAD recommends washing your face daily with a non-drying soap. If you need to wear makeup, your best bet to avoid acne is oil-free cosmetics.
