How Makeup Can Affect Your Health

Stop Dry Skin in It’s Cracks

Dry skin can happen to anyone from time to time, and the results sometimes aren’t pretty. Dry skin can itch, flake, burn and even bleed. Unfortunately, some cosmetics can only add to this irritation. According to the AAD, using the same skin care routine year round can make it hard for the skin to lock in moisture. The AAD recommends moisturizing after showering — but before applying cosmetics. Choose a light ointment instead of a heavy lotion, and choose cosmetics that are gentle and unscented. When in doubt about your dry skin, see a dermatologist.
