How to Prevent the Spread of HIV
If you’re pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant, get tested for HIV as soon as possible. If you’re HIV-positive, there are prevention steps that can lower the risk of passing HIV on to your newborn baby. Talk to your doctor about breastfeeding and taking antiretroviral medications during labor and delivery.
