How to Quit Smoking
For many smokers, it’s important to set a specific quit date. An official date may help you stay focused, confident and motivated to quit. Smokefree.gov recommends choosing a date within two weeks, so that you have enough time to prepare to quit. Avoid choosing a day when you know you’ll be tempted to pick up a cigarette — like when you know you’ll be busy or stressed. If you often smoke at work, choose a weekend day. Then circle the date on your calendar and gear up!
