Seasonal allergies and asthma frequently occur together. About 85 percent of patients with asthma are sensitive to pollen, and 40 percent of patients with allergies have or will develop asthma. Research suggests that early, active treatment of allergies may decrease the rate and severity of asthma. Talk with your doctor about proper tests and treatment for both conditions.
