Keeping an Eye on Your Eyes

Protect Your Peepers

According to the National Eye Institute, roughly 42,000 sports-related eye injuries happen each year, most of which occur in children. More than 12 million kids also have vision impairment or vision loss from these injuries. To keep your child’s eyes safe, make sure they play only with age-appropriate toys and avoid toys with sharp or protruding parts. When playing sports or participating in other recreational activities, it’s also important to wear protective eyewear like goggles or protective glasses.
