Properly Storing Medicine At Home
According to US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) pharmacist, Lisa Bernstein, MD, expiration dates on medical products are a critical part of determining if the product is safe to use and will work as intended. Even if your medication isn’t expired — but you notice any change in its appearance (color, odor, texture, etc) — it’s best to dispose of it. If you have medication that has expired or seems a little iffy, make sure you dispose of it properly. For advice on disposing medication properly, call your doctor or local pharmacist.
