Summer Sports Safety Tips
Stand-up paddle boards offer a fun, relaxing way to play on the water. With minimum gear, you can paddle the ocean surf or placid lakes and rivers. Paddleboarding can also be a great full-body workout, or simply a way to get some unique views of everything from sea creatures to what’s on the horizon.
Keep these safety tips in mind before you grab your board:
- Always wear a lifejacket, even if you know how to swim
- Know the navigation rules of your chosen body of water
- Keep your board’s leash attached
- Know how to use your paddle to avoid collision
- Wear sunscreen and weather-appropriate clothing
