Summer Sports Safety Tips
Water skiing and wakeboarding can be great ways to have fun while boating. However, they are not activities to be done without preparation. These sports can be dangerous and require some special skills by the boat operator and the skier.
Keep these safety tips in mind before you don your water skis:
- Only waterski or wakeboard during the daytime
- Always wear a helmet
- Keep a spotter in the back of the boat to communicate with the skier
- Let go of the tow rope if you fall
- Stop the propeller before getting back on the boat
