Mineral Sunscreen

Mineral sunscreens are made with the minerals zinc oxide and titanium dioxide — hence the name. According to the EWG, mineral sunscreens are usually safer than chemical ones. This is because of strict regulations set on the active ingredients. The minerals used in the sunscreen are coated with inactive chemicals to reduce unintended skin damage, to maximize skin’s protection from the sun and to minimize contact to harmful ingredients.
