Things to Keep in Your Medicine Cabinet
One staple to have in your medicine cabinet is Tylenol and/or Motrin. These drugs relieve pain and reduce fever. Tylenol is safe for pregnant women to take. Ibuprofen is effective at reducing pain and has anti-inflammatory action, and is especially great to have on hand if anyone in the family has a chronic musculoskeletal pain condition, such as osteoarthritis. Consult your doctor or pharmacist first if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease, as there may be an increase risk of kidney toxicity with ibuprofen use.
