Tips for Adults with ADHD
Whether you were diagnosed as a child or as an adult, your ADHD symptoms will likely stay with you throughout your life. Those with ADHD are sometimes able to manage their symptoms in childhood — only to find that the additional pressures and responsibilities of adulthood leave them overwhelmed. Common adult ADHD symptoms include focus problems (either not being able to focus or hyperfocusing), disorganization, forgetfulness, restlessness and impulsivity. Adults with ADHD may also face emotional difficulties, such as feelings of underachievement, low self esteem and irritability. The good news is: with a little help and motivation, these symptoms can be managed.
