The Truth About Hangover Cures

Fact: Light Exercise

Alcohol acts as a depressant to your body, which means it slows brain activity. This also slows the release of endorphins, those feel-good hormones that regulate your mood and have a pain-relieving effect. Moving your body by getting some light exercise like yoga, gentle stretching or even taking a swim can stimulate the release of endorphins again. However, it isn’t wise to exercise heavily. Too much physical activity could exacerbate your nausea and further dehydrate you. Keep a water bottle nearby and drink at least 7 to 10 ounces of water every 10 to 20 minutes you exercise.
