The Truth About Hangover Cures
The energy jolt from the caffeine in coffee may make you feel less fatigued and may alleviate your headache by constricting blood vessels, but the relief is only temporary. In fact, some experts say coffee can make your hangover worse since it is a diuretic. A diuretic is a substance that causes your body to produce urine, and it’s theorized that, because caffeine increases blood flow through the kidneys, it can further dehydrate your body.
