Myth: Propranolol

Propranolol is beta-blocker medication for hypertension (high blood pressure) that is also commonly used to relieve hangover pain. But it doesn’t work. The National Institutes of Health conducted a study that found no clinically important reduction in hangover symptoms in people who received propranolol.
