The Truth About Hangover Cures
There’s plenty of anecdotal evidence and even old wives’ tales that claim certain fatty or spicy foods can cure hangovers. However, there is no scientific proof. In fact, spicy foods may further irritate your stomach and aggravate symptoms. There is some evidence that fatty foods may prevent a hangover in the first place because the grease can help repel alcohol from the stomach lining. But, again, there is no real proof. And what about the old “burnt toast” cure? Again, no real data backs up this claim.
