The Truth About Metabolism Boosters
Workout enthusiasts have long sung the praises of protein shakes after a gym session, but should the rest of us be drinking them as well? Websites boasting the benefits of whey protein on metabolism are numerous, but a recent study may prove them wrong. Researchers compiled whey protein studies and found that, although whey protein may provide a boost in muscle protein synthesis and blood sugar metabolism, the evidence is not strong enough to make recommendations one way or the other. While whey protein shakes can be a good source of protein, you may not want to count on them for a metabolism boost.
