Wine May Ease Depression

A glass of wine or two may even help, if you’re feeling blue! One study from Spain, that followed participants for seven years, found that moderate consumption — two to seven glasses per week — of red wine plus a healthy diet may reduce the incidence of depression. In fact, this study found that the risk was lowered by 30 percent compared to those who did not drink red wine. However, heavy drinkers were also found to be at a higher risk for depression.
