Your Office May Be More Dangerous than You Think
Too much sun can lead to skin cancer, but too little sun may not be any better. While your office may not be a dungeon, your body can’t get the vitamin D it needs from fluorescent lights, which can negatively affect bone health. One study from the Agency of Healthcare Policy and Research found that low levels of vitamin D in adults could worsen osteoporosis or cause osteomalacia (a painful condition where the bones are softened.) To combat this, take your lunch outside!
