Germiest Places You Forget to Clean
The coffee maker is dark, warm and moist, making it ideal for bacteria, mold and mildew to form. The owner’s manual should include cleaning instructions, but a low-cost favorite is letting 4 cups of vinegar sit in the reservoir for half an hour, then running that vinegar through the machine. Run water through the system until the vinegar smell is gone (this generally takes two to three cycles). Do this monthly.
