A common culprit of headaches is dehydration. Headaches may cause increased irritability and lack of concentration. Dehydration can also cause headaches to last longer, according to a study from the National Institutes of Health. Mild dehydration can have an impact on migraines, too. According to the Migraine Trust, drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water a day and avoiding fizzy drinks can help to reduce migraine attacks.
